Scribe

The information in this post is outdated. Scribe was originally removed, due to issues with its implementation, but since its initial removal, Sworddrill has seen a major update. There are still plans to release it again with the new update, though.

Scribe is now the newest tool for coaches. It tracks quizzes, and it is intended for small screens. It has been public for a while now, but only now have all of its features been finished. However, please note that it cannot interact with any buzzer system; it is entirely manual. There are a few things in the interface that might be confusing. First, the Clear button will clear any popups on the screen, if there are any, otherwise it will mark the current question as no response and move to the next question. Second, there is a timer, but it will not start running automatically. There are many features that are planned, but, as always, please contact us, since Scribe is still very new.

Changes to the Search Tool

I have been testing the fuzzy algorithm (see the last blog post) recently, and its results do not appear to be nearly as good as the complex algorithm, so the fuzzy algorithm has been removed, and the complex algorithm is now the default.
